Germany has rolled out drive-thru testing stations in the hope of keeping potentially infected people away from hospitals. Cases have passed 1,000 in Germany, one of the worst hit in Europe.

主持抗疫团队的副总统潘斯为焦虑的民众提供一个好消息，表示未来几天美国将设立2000多个可提供快速检测的检验室，使检测能量急遽扩大。
接受检测的人只要花大约10秒钟用长棉花棒擦拭鼻腔採样，随后把棉花棒放进清洁的容器裡送到检验室检验。检验程序原来得花3、4天，现在缩短到24至48小时。
川普已宣布在大型连锁商店外面设立得来速检测站，让民众在车上接受检测；新的检测计画则是配合传统的抗疫努力，积极在美国各地社区部署医疗和应变人员。
奉命主持检测作业的卫生福利部助理部长季洛尔说，联邦急难管理局和公共卫生部门将与各州协调成立社区检测站，每一个地点每天可检测2000至4000人。
大规模检测对追踪和遏制疫情至为重要，美国这种作业却失误连连，包括联邦政府分发的第一批检测器材不管用，官僚作风也妨碍民营检验室的作业。
公共卫生专家警告，缺乏全国性的检测可能使病毒不知不觉的扩散，一旦染疫者激增，美国医院的加护病房可能很快就无法应付。
部分欧洲和亚洲国家数周前就开始施行得来速检测，据悉南韩每天可检验大约1万5000人；相形之下，自今年1月以来，美国联邦、州和地方政府检验室只检验了不到两万人。
这个数字不不包括正加强检测能量的民营检验室的作业，而美国临床检验协会估计民营机构到下个月每周可处理28万件检测。
潘斯15日说，美国已在10个州设立得来速检测站，包括纽约、科罗拉多、德州和德拉瓦州，而政府正与谷歌和其他科技公司合作宣导防疫资讯，本周可望推出网站协助民众自我检查症状，以确定自己是否需要接受检测，以及寻找检测站。
联邦疾病防治中心(CDC)建议出现发烧、咳嗽和呼吸困难等类似流感症状的人，以及最近曾到新冠疫区或与染疫者近距离接触的人，应寻求检测，但是也敦促民众避免不必要的检测，以免增加医疗负担和妨碍抗疫。
