There are only five more days until Election Day, Tuesday November 3rd. This is our chance to vote in what is likely to be the most important election in our lifetime. Remember that voting is our voice, the way we silently say what we think is right, an act by which, as mere individuals, we take responsibility for the whole. With our vote we speak on behalf of the entire nation, for future generations, and indeed—given the leading role that the U.S. plays on the world stage—for the future destiny of humankind. The election is just too critical for anyone to sit out. It is our responsibility, our sacred duty as U.S. citizens, to vote: to choose the candidate that best represents our values and our hopes for the future.

While most attention will naturally be focused on the presidential election, other offices will also be on the ballot, among them seats in the House of Representatives and 35 seats in the Senate as well as various state and local positions.

So, find out where your polling place is located and go out to vote. In most states you need not wait until November 3 but can vote early. Each state has different rules governing the voting process. You can check the information relevant to your state here.
